Rising Voices
Rising Voices gives children and young people actual agency to identify a climate problem affecting their community, investigate it, test a response, and engage the people or institutions capable of carrying that response further.
How it works
Each cohort moves through the same four steps, and the work stays with the participants throughout.
Identify
Participants name a climate problem they actually experience where they live and learn.
Investigate
They gather their own evidence: measurements, counts, walks, interviews and records over time.
Test a response
They design a practical response, run it, and check whether it changed anything.
Engage
They take what they found to the people or institutions able to carry the response further.

The problem
Flash flooding on the routes children walk to school.
What they did
Mapped every blocked drain nearby, then ran clearing and waste-separation routines through the rains.

School leadership and the officials responsible for drainage.

For young people
Start with the problem outside your gate.
You do not need a title, a budget or permission to begin. You need a problem you can see, a way to record what is happening, and someone who can act on what you find. Rising Voices gives you the method and the room to use it.
